Akhter Sherazi (Musicologist) son of Allama Anwar Ferozpuri( a prominent scholar of Islamic through and a poet of Hamed and Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool). Lessons selected for teaching are composed by them, they are one of those who composed new poetry in Rags, and made understanding and learning of music very convenient for students. They are also poet of books” Subh-e-Median” & Toheed-e-Rasalat consisting of Hamed & Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool. The Governemnt of Pakistan (Ministry of Relgion) has given award to this book and is also providing an honorarium to him.

        They have written altogether six books on Music, one is in market by the name of “Naghmagee”( ) Vol.I. In it they introduced three That this book, the other seven Thath have been introduced in other five books and is under process of printing. (Vol. II, III, IV, V& VI). They learned Music from Pundit before partition, and then furthered their education from the Pitialla Gharana by Ustad Akhter Hussian Khan Sahib. Now a days they are working on their Music Books and Robyaat, Ghazals Books (Rooh-e-Ghazal) and also working for the promotion of Classical Music. They were perform classical music in concerts but now they are only perform in special concerts.
